Since 1967, Bob has been involved in education as a teacher, university administrator, and services provider partner.

After three years of elementary school teaching and graduate school, Bob served 16 years under the leadership of some of America's most outstanding Presidents at leading institutions including Towson University, Cornell University and Central Michigan University. He gained substantial understanding and experience reporting in Financial Affairs, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and University Relations divisions.

As a university administrator serving a range of institutions from primarily urban commuter to land grant university under both public and private control, Bob experienced first hand the business processes and relationships that make effective campus and system operations. Perhaps more importantly, Bob observed what dysfunctional attitudes and processes and under-managed and resourced projects will do to jeopardize systems implementations, and other high profile projects with adequate planning, risk assessment, change management planning and project management not in place.

For the past 15 years, Bob has served several of the Nation's leading software and professional services companies including SCT (Oracle reseller), Jenzabar CARS (Informix reseller), Buzzeo (Oracle reseller), KPMG LLP (PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle implementation practices), DigiTerra (PeopleSoft implementation practice) and most recently PeopleSoft. His goal has always been to improve the higher education institutional infrastructure. His Provider experiences range from consulting, systems implementation, and software development to marketing, sales and executive management. During his career, and prior to founding HigherEdAdvisors, he has provided direct administrative, product and/or consulting services to over 250 institutions and participated in hundreds of procurement processes.

In founding HigherEdAdvisors, he brings his vast knowledge and experience to the forefront by offering impartial, vendor-neutral advice to enable his clients to make winning decisions, reduce their risks and maximize the benefits of their decisions to directly benefit their Institution (a win for Institutions is a win for Provider firms in his view) and ultimately strengthen the higher education enterprise.
