Jeannie
Coyle leads MACKENZIE/COYLE, a business and strategic human resources consulting
firm she founded in 1985. She helps leaders make breakthroughs in strategy
and improve results with a focus on managing people (human capital) as a
source of value.
Her approach helps leaders integrate the disciplines of business strategy, organization design, change and development, work redesign, and accelerated learning and development to achieve business results. Prior to starting her own company, Jeannie acquired 17 years of hands-on experience in industry holding many senior Human Resource positions, including Senior Vice President of Human Resources at American Express and Vice President of Executive and Management Development at Bank of America. As Senior Vice President of Human Resources of the Travel Related Services subsidiary of American Express, she was asked by her boss, Lou Gerstner, to design and implement the Executive Planning Process he and his division heads used to make improved staffing decisions and plan job moves of future executives. She also worked with the Tom Peters' Group implementing a new product, Creating Value for the Customer. She is is a past two term Board of the Human Resource Planning Society and served for 6 years on the Executive Committee. She has led projects to reengineer the learning delivery system of the society and was project leader for the society's websites, Satellite Broadcast and Virtual Conference initiatives. She is a frequent presenter at seminars and conferences on topics of strategic organization change, networked ("Virtual") organization forms, the reinvention of human resources to deliver high impact solutions accelerated learning strategies and tactics and the identification and development of executives. She also teaches in the graduate business programs of Portland State University and Marylhurst. |
