About Us
|
With over thirteen years of experience consulting senior level executives and managers on organizational strategic change issues, their personal performance issues and career transition actions, Tim is known as a very powerful and insightful consultant. Utilizing The Birkman Method® and Lominger Limited's LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® suite of tools, he seeks to maximize the capacity of executives and managers to work together to more successfully improve organizational capabilities and develop leadership competencies. He specifically works in the areas of executive education and succession programs; collaborative strategy formulation; executive leadership effectiveness coaching; management and senior team development and conflict management. Many executives use Tim as their personal strategic leadership coach. Before founding Marvin Consulting, Tim was with King Chapman Broussard & Gallagher, a Houston-based national change management and outplacement consulting firm for eight years, most recently as National Manager of the Executive Consulting Practice. With full profit and loss accountability for this business, he was responsible for the marketing and quality design and delivery of executive career development and transition, assessment, and leadership education and performance coaching programs. Prior to these national managerial and consulting responsibilities, Tim managed the firm's flagship Houston office, where he successfully brought his managerial, marketing and consulting expertise to individual outplacement and the planning and implementation of mergers, restructuring and large downsizing projects. The theme of management plus training, supervising and empowering people runs throughout his business career. During his eight years as a practicing attorney, Tim specialized in administrative, commercial and corporate law. Later, he entered the consulting business as National Operations Manager for one of the nation's largest training organizations. As a line manager, he was responsible for the success of twenty-seven branches around the world: managing both start-up and growth opportunities. Tim has also led highly acclaimed workshops throughout the country on leadership, teamwork, managing change, communications and coaching. These were attended by thousands of people representing small and large corporations and government. Tim received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma. His undergraduate work was done at The College of William and Mary, where he was President of the Student Body and co-captain of varsity lacrosse. Tim and his wife are avid travelers who enjoy classical and jazz music. When he is not studying organizational development, he is seen running, sailing or puttering in their lawn or garden. |
